Detroit Valentine’s Day proposal
Two months ago, Peter emailed me, introducing himself asking about my availability for a Detroit Valentine’s Day proposal to his Kellie. After talking about some of our options, we decided to meet on a cold winter day on the southern tip of Belle Isle to walk through the details. Peter had it all planned out: they would be dressed up and head downtown to visit the Belle Isle Conservatory before catching a show at the Detroit Opera House. While on Belle Isle, he would suggest they take a walk and look at the skyline. As Kellie and Peter started to walk towards the shoreline, Kellie notice the blanket with champagne and flowers. It took her a second, but she quickly began to realize what was happening – a beautiful Detroit Valentine’s Day proposal!
Kellie was so excited for the whole surprise, she asked Peter, “Did I even say yes? YES! YES! YES!” after giving him a celebratory kiss.
This moment is always one of my favorite. Proposing is a stressful event. A lot of planning goes into it between picking out the ring, deciding on a location, creating a story to make it happen, and then finally proposing. There is a split second when the guy gets t relax a little and celebrate a beautiful proposal. For Peter, this was that moment.
Peter had a special card waiting for Kellie to help commemorate their Detroit Valentine’s Day Proposal.
And along with the special card was also some special champagne!
After a few chilly minutes on Belle Isle, we headed downtown to continue their Detroit Valentine’s Day proposal shoot. First stop – the Detroit Public Library.
Peter had one more surprise waiting for Kellie. Waiting around the corner from this location was Kellie’s family from out of town. We planned it out so they could photobomb Kellie in a suprise. Needless to say, she was VERY surprised!
